Our HVAC service company was conceptualized at a church prayer meeting. At the end of the Vietnam War, Joe Oliver was one of 10,000 employees downsized from Boeing Helicopter Division and struggled to support his wife and six young sons.

One day at church, Joe shared his dilemma with his prayer group. After prayer, one of the group members suggested that he start an HVAC service company. Joe liked the idea and he and Beverly, his wife, opened the doors of Oliver Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in February, 1971.

Joe had no knowledge about the HVAC industry when he launched the company, but through hard work and perseverance, the business grew and flourished. Soon after Oliver opened, Joe's first employee, Adam, was hired. This biblical coincidence, coupled with Joe’s strong beliefs, told him that he had chosen the right path. For this reason, Joe made the white dove a significant and symbolic point of reference in Oliver's company logo.
